Basketball Recap: John Champe Takes a Loss

John Champe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Loudoun County Captains. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Captains apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

John Champe's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Loudoun County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John Champe will face off against Heritage at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Heritage has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Loudoun County has already played their next contest (against Park View), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
