Basketball Game Preview: Cascade Ramblers vs. Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies

Cascade hasn't had much luck against Greenleaf Friends Academy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cascade Ramblers will welcome the Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cascade is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Tri-Valley on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Cascade was dealt a 58-25 loss at the hands of Tri-Valley. The Ramblers were down 41-21 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Greenleaf Friends Academy took a blow against Tri-Valley on Thursday, falling 77-12. The Grizzlies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-4.

Greenleaf Friends Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Cascade, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.

Cascade and Greenleaf Friends Academy were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but Cascade came up empty-handed after a 32-31 loss. Can Cascade avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
