Basketball Recap: Waseca Takes a Loss

Waseca lost against St. Peter back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Waseca Bluejays lost 57-32 to the St. Peter Saints. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Saints are ranked 93rd).

Waseca has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which is still a better percentage than their 5-21 record this season. As for St. Peter, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

While Waseca had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
