Baseball Game Preview: Larue County Hawks vs. North Oldham Mustangs

The Larue County Hawks will head out to square off against the North Oldham Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Larue County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Larue County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Pleasure Ridge Park, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hawks fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Larue County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Hughes, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, North Oldham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 4-1 to Jeffersonville. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly three runs.

Larue County's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4-1. As for North Oldham, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
