Basketball Game Preview: Science Park Chargers vs. Livingston Lancers

Science Park hasn't had much luck against Livingston recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Science Park Chargers will venture away from home to face off against the Livingston Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Science Park is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 77-31 loss at the hands of Newark Tech. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Terries are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Livingston had to suffer through a 66-37 loss at the hands of Ridge. The defeat continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Red Devil: they've now lost five in a row.

Science Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Livingston, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Science Park came out on top in a nail-biter against Livingston in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, sneaking past 41-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Science Park since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
