Soddy Daisy beat Hixson on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-3. The win was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won three games in a row.

Floyd Central never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Summit on Friday. They blew past the Spartans 13-4. The Highlanders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Soddy Daisy pushed their record up to 12-6-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Floyd Central, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
