Softball Recap: Randolph School Drops Highest Score of Season Against St. John Paul II

Randolph School lost a heartbreaker the last time they played St. John Paul II, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. Randolph School was the clear victor by a 9-2 margin over St. John Paul II on Wednesday. The Raiders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Julianne Jones made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She also allowed four hits, marking her first of the season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Sofie Bynum was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eliza McCrary, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Randolph School's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for St. John Paul II, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Randolph School will venture away from home to challenge Woodville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. John Paul II, they will welcome Section at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. St. John Paul II is facing Section at the right time seeing as Section is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
