Baseball Recap: Lake Charles College Prep Takes a Loss

Lake Charles College Prep came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-2 to the St. Louis Catholic Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trailblazers of the 8-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Lake Charles College Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Vital, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Lake Charles College Prep's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-10. As for St. Louis Catholic, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lake Charles College Prep is set to take on their familiar foe Westlake at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, St. Louis Catholic will square off against rival South Beauregard at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
