Volleyball Recap: Eno River Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Eno River Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Clover Garden School last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bobcats came up short against the Vance Charter Knights on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 9, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Eno River Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Vance Charter work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, 27-25.

Vance Charter can attribute much of their success to Ella Barnes, who had 13 digs. That's the most digs Barnes has posted since back in September.

Eno River Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Vance Charter, their record now sits at 16-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Eno River Academy will head out to square off against Durham School of the Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Vance Charter, they are taking a road trip to take on Falls Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Firebirds will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
