Basketball Recap: Tyler Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Tyler Knights were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-44 to the Fort Frye Cadets. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.

Despite the loss, Tyler still got an impressive performance from Brady Strode, who went 9 of 14 en route to 21 points and six rebounds. Strode's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tyler fell to 2-1. As for Fort Frye, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Tyler wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-38 defeat against Liberty Union on the 28th. As for Fort Frye, they will take on Caldwell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
