Recap: Platte Valley Broncos vs. Roosevelt Roughriders
Even though the Roosevelt Roughriders scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, the Platte Valley Broncos still came out on top. Platte Valley took their match against Roosevelt 64-57. The score was all tied up 32-32 at the break, but Platte Valley was the better team in the second half.
Leading Platte Valley to victory were Reagan Edstrom and Braylon Edstrom. Edstrom scored 17 points, while Edstrom scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Logan Ries , who scored 7 points.
Despite the loss, Roosevelt still got an impressive performance from Nolan Peterson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. Joseph Palma was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 assists and 6 steals.
Platte Valley's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Roosevelt, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Platte Valley will head out on the road to face off against Y at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roosevelt, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Niwot at 7:00 p.m.
