Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Mountain). They were the clear victors by a 23-3 margin over the Ruidoso Warriors on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Timberwolves as they're now sitting on nine straight.

The team relied heavily on Aidan Madrid, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Birdwell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

East Mountain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .638. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .517 or higher in three consecutive games.

East Mountain pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Ruidoso, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9-1 record this season.

East Mountain will take on New Mexico Military Institute at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Timberwolves will need to watch out since the Colts have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Ruidoso, they will head out to square off against Sandia Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
