Taylor County let Meade County stack six runs on them in the second inning on Tuesday but luckily Taylor County prevailed anyway. The Cardinals skirted past the Green Waves 9-8. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 7-3 victory the Green Waves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Taylor County has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Meade County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taylor County will host Adair County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Meade County, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Elizabethtown at 6:00 p.m.
