Lafayette Christian came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Central Christian Crusaders. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lafayette Christian was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-20, 21-25, 25-21, 15-13.

Lafayette Christian was led to victory by Fionah Parajes and Olivia Tusing. Parajes had 19 digs, while Tusing had ten digs and one assist. Those 19 digs gave Parajes a new career-high.

Lafayette Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Central Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lafayette Christian will challenge rival Harvester Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Central Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Community Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
