Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Bucksport had to settle for a 5-4 loss against Foxcroft Academy on Monday.
Dexter's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-4. As for Bucksport, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Dexter took their victory against Bucksport in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 7-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dexter since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
