Basketball Recap: Denver North Takes a Loss

Denver North lost against Thomas Jefferson last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Denver North Vikings took a hard 75-58 fall against the Thomas Jefferson Spartans.

Shane Curry was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 24 points and 12 boards for Thomas Jefferson. What's more, Curry also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Zack Vanabbema was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Denver North's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Thomas Jefferson, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-5.

Denver North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-59 loss against DSST: Montview on the 21st. As for Thomas Jefferson, they will face off against DSST: College View at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. Thomas Jefferson is on a five-game streak of home wins, DSST: College View a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
