Soccer Game Preview: Milton vs. West Florida

The Milton Panthers will square off against the West Florida Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Milton is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Navarre just ended the team's seven-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 2-0 to the Raiders. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Milton couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for West Florida, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Crestview a 3-0 shutout on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for West Florida as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Addison Punzel and Story Novotny scored all three of West Florida's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

West Florida's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Milton, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-5-1.
