Basketball Recap: Anderson Takes a Loss

Anderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Walnut Hills Eagles, falling 50-16. The Raptors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-5.

Despite the defeat, Anderson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Breea Coston posted three points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Coston a new career-high in steals.

Anderson's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Walnut Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Anderson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-35 defeat against Little Miami on the 10th. As for Walnut Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 42-37 victory against Seton on the 10th.
