California powerhouse De La Salle begins the year ranked No. 1 in the MaxPreps non-public school preseason Top 25.

The Spartans are loaded on both lines and return key offensive skill players -- a potent recipe that is the best among the nation's top non-public schools.

St. John Bosco, which could meet De La Salle in a CIF Bowl Game, checks in at No. 2, while last year's No. 1 team, John Curtis, is No. 3.
