Softball Game Preview: Sebring Blue Streaks vs. Hardee Wildcats

The Sebring Blue Streaks are taking a road trip to challenge the Hardee Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sebring hasn't scored more than a single run for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Friday, Sebring didn't have quite enough to beat Winter Haven and fell 2-1.

Sebring saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cailyn McWaters, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hardee, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Frostproof by a score of 12-9 on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-run performance the game before.

The team relied heavily on Elida Ramirez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-5. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Kirstyn Faulkner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Hardee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Hardee's record is now 4-9. As for Sebring, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Sebring skirted past Hardee 10-9 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Streaks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
