Recap: Brusly Panthers vs. Wossman Wildcats
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Brusly Panthers can now relate to. They lost to Wossman on the road by a decisive 26-7 margin on Friday.
When it comes to explaining why Brusly lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cody Loupe. Despite the final result, he rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Loupe really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
Among those leading the charge was Antron Mason jr, who rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Tristen Wooten was another key contributor, throwing for 90 yards and two touchdowns.
Brusly's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for Wossman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Brusly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wossman will head out on the road to face off against Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwest will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
