There's no place like home for Dawson County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the South Forsyth War Eagles on Saturday. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 loss the War Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2023.

Madison Dudney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Destiny McBrayer was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That run was she's first for the season. Another player making a difference was Aubree Smith, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Dawson County's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for South Forsyth, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Dawson County will have a chance to go back-to-back against South Forsyth: the pair will be back at it again later today.
