Basketball Recap: Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Skates Past Covington with Ease

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-0. They took their game with ease, bagging a 78-46 victory over the Covington Trojans. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Keison Peoples went supernova, almost dropping a triple-double with 31 points, ten boards, and nine assists. His evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Noah Rice, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 13 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

As for Covington, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since January 25th.

Despite the loss, Covington still got an impressive performance from Creux Rieman, who shot 42% from the field on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. That was a full 45.7% of the Trojans' points, marking the third time in a row Rieman has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Stalcup, who earned five points.

Looking ahead, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Tolono Unity at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Covington has already played their next contest (against Schlarman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
