Basketball Game Preview: Omak Pioneers vs. Kettle Falls Bulldogs

The Omak Pioneers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Kettle Falls Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Omak didn't have quite enough to beat Tonasket and fell 68-66. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Tigers are ranked 93rd).

Kettle Falls got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They rang in the new year with a 64-54 win over Newport on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Kettle Falls' victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Omak, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-8.
