Sonora had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 42-41 photo finish over the Ripon Indians. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 53-43 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Sonora's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quentin Solis, who posted 16 points. Solis is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Noah Wright was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Sonora smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Ripon still got an impressive performance from Marcus Madoski, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. Madoski is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ethan Baur, who put up six points and three steals.

Sonora pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Ripon, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-9.

Sonora will square off against Ripon Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ripon, they will face off against Escalon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ripon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season.
