Basketball Recap: Wellington Takes a Loss

Wellington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 56-43 to the Clearview Clippers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Clippers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-57 back in January.

Quavion Grant had a dynamite game for Clearview, going 10-for-11 on his way to 25 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Grant a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Deacon Delgado, who went 5-for-10 en route to 11 points and seven rebounds.

Wellington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Clearview, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Wellington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-34 loss against Keystone on the 17th. As for Clearview, they have also already played their next matchup, a 52-40 defeat against Columbia on the 15th.
