Wasilla kept up with Service until halftime on Wednesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Cougars' defense stepped up to hand the Warriors a 3-0 shutout. Service might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by three goals or more this season.

They hit Wasilla with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Makayla Atherton, Isabella Schuld, and Hazel Mohs.

The victory made it two in a row for Service and bumps their season record up to 7-3-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Wasilla, they moved to 13-3-1 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Service didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-0 victory against Eagle River on the 17th. As for Wasilla, they have also already played their next game, a 12-0 win against Kodiak on the 17th.
