Ovilla Christian came tearing into Thursday's contest with 20 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cambridge Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on October 7th.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Ovilla Christian was: they took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-5, 25-11.

Leading Ovilla Christian to victory were Gracie Scott and Brenlin Garlitz. Scott had seven digs and three aces, while Garlitz hit 70% for eight kills and nine aces and three digs. That's the most aces Garlitz has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good servers: Ovilla Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 27 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 17 consecutive matches.

Ovilla Christian's win bumped their record up to 27-3-1. As for Cambridge, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

As of now, neither Ovilla Christian nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
