Recap: Stevenson Ambassadors vs. St. Francis Prep Terriers
The Stevenson Ambassadors lost against the St. Francis Prep Terriers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Stevenson ended up on the wrong side of a rough 69-47 walloping at the hands of St. Francis Prep. Stevenson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
St. Francis Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Oesoemana Sacko, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Vere Anthony, who scored 15 points along with 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
Stevenson's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Francis Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stevenson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mott Haven at 5:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for St. Francis Prep, they will be playing at home against Eagle Academy II at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
