Baseball Recap: Belton-Honea Path Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

While Belton-Honea Path put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Walhalla. The Bears walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Razorbacks. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Razorbacks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Not much got past Jud Lowie, who gave up just five hits to keep Walhalla off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aidan Jenkins, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Belton-Honea Path's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Walhalla, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belton-Honea Path will square off against Dixie at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bears 3.7, the Hornets 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Walhalla, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Christ Church Episcopal at 6:30 p.m.
