Football Recap: Suncoast Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pine last Tuesday, Suncoast came back down to earth. The matchup between the Chargers and the Jupiter Warriors didn't end well, with the Chargers falling 22-7. The Chargers have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

A big part of Jupiter's victory came down to the chemistry between Rachael Abbass and her top target Gianna Granda. Abbass threw for 207 yards and three touchdowns while Granda picked up 124 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 124 receiving yards gave Granda a new career-high.

Suncoast's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Jupiter, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Looking ahead, Suncoast will face off against South Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Chargers are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Bulldogs an eight-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Jupiter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
