Basketball Recap: Evans Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Evans extended their home winning streak to seven games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Chabria Tate. The Evans Knights came out on top against the Greenbrier Wolfpack by a score of 60-48 on Tuesday thanks in part to Tate, who went 8 for 18 on her way to 27 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Evans' points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kimariya Hinton, who posted six points along with 12 rebounds and four steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more boards the last 13 times she's played.

Evans' record now sits at 15-2. As for Greenbrier, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Evans will face off against Lakeside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Evans is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.4 points per game this season. As for Greenbrier, they and Grovetown will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Grovetown also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 52 points per game.
