Basketball Game Preview: Clarksville Academy Cougars vs. Nashville Christian Eagles

Clarksville Academy hasn't had much luck against Nashville Christian recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Clarksville Academy Cougars will square off against the Nashville Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Clarksville Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Clarksville Academy duked it out withDonelson Christian Academy on Friday. Clarksville Academy fell 48-38 to Donelson Christian Academy.

Clarksville Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from Anna Hellums, who posted 15 points and seven boards. Camille Thomas was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Nashville Christian entered their contest against Ezell-Harding Christian on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Nashville Christian took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ezell-Harding Christian.

Nashville Christian's defeat ended a 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-4. As for Clarksville Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Clarksville Academy came up short against Nashville Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 55-43. Can Clarksville Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
