It was a good run, but the Russell Red Devils unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were beaten by Boyd County 93-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (58), Russell still had to take the loss.

Russell's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Caleb Rimmer, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds, and Elijah Neel who scored 17 points. Neel hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Kaczmarcyk, who scored five points.

Russell's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Boyd County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Russell will head out on the road to take on Greenup County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
