Devin Carter of Clayton (N.C.) has been virtually untouchable this season, and now the 6-foot-4, 205-pound receiver has touched the record books in his home state.

Carter became the first player in North Carolina state history to record a touchdown reception in eight consecutive games, according to Mike Potter of The News & Observer. He reeled in 10 receptions and one touchdown in a 36-7 victory over Knightdale.

The towering junior is big threat downfield and a home-run hitter. He's racked up an impressive 962 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns, while also averaging 17 yards per catch and 137 receiving yards per game. Carter has also helped the Comets to six straight wins and an impressive 6-1 mark.
