Softball Recap: Herndon Takes a Loss

Herndon lost against McLean back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hornets came up short against the Highlanders, falling 9-1. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Katie McGee was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Herndon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for McLean, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Looking ahead, Herndon will square off against George C. Marshall at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Statesmen have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for McLean, they will take on Charles J. Colgan at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Highlanders will need to watch out since the Sharks have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
