Basketball Recap: Mattanawcook Starts Season with Victory Against Dexter + How To Watch

Mattanawcook took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. They blew past the Dexter Tigers 67-35. The Lynx haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Mattanawcook was led to victory by Kooper McCarthy and Andrew Oliver. McCarthy went 8-for-16 on his way to 19 points along with six assists and three steals, while Oliver shot 55% from the field to rack up 19 points in addition to five assists and five boards. McCarthy's big performance that afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of True Weatherbee, who went 5-for-8 en route to 10 points and seven rebounds.
