Baseball Recap: Wilson Comes Up Short

Wilson had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 5-8 to make it four. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rowland Raiders. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Christopher Barrientos and Alex Han did some serious damage despite the final result: Barrientos went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run, while Han went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those stolen bases marked the first that Barrientos has snagged this season.

As for Rowland, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-13. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

On Rowland's side, the team relied heavily on Nathanael Li, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The Raiders are 2-1 when Li posts three or more hits, but 6-12 otherwise.

While Wilson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
