Basketball Game Preview: River City Science Academy Rockets vs. St. Johns Classical Academy Lions

The River City Science Academy Rockets will head out to challenge the St. Johns Classical Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. River City Science Academy is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, River City Science Academy came up short against Duval Charter and fell 62-50.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Johns Classical Academy). They managed a 57-51 win over Warner Christian Academy on Thursday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their 29-point performance the match before.

River City Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for St. Johns Classical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-10.

Everything came up roses for River City Science Academy against St. Johns Classical Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 63-36 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for River City Science Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
