Basketball Recap: Compass Academy Takes a Loss

Compass Academy lost against Denver City back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. 2025 welcomed Compass Academy with a 59-38 loss courtesy of the Denver City Mustangs. Compass Academy just can't catch a break and has now endured four losses in a row.

Compass Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Denver City, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Compass Academy will square off against Kermit at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Compass Academy is facing Kermit at the right time seeing as Kermit is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Denver City, they will venture away from home to face off against Lamesa at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Denver City is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
