After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stoney Creek, Seaholm was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Groves Falcons, sneaking past 51-48. This was a revenge game for the Maples: when they faced off against the Falcons back in January, they had to take a 69-60 loss.

When it comes to explaining why Groves lost, don't look at Harlem Simpson. Despite the final result, she posted 23 points and seven rebounds. The match was Simpson's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Genevieve Meihn, who put up eight points and ten boards.

Seaholm's record is now 12-9. As for Groves, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-14.

Looking ahead, Seaholm will head out to face off against Royal Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Groves, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bloomfield Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
