Herculaneum lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Kingston, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's contest. The Black Cats were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Cougars on Wednesday. The Black Cats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Herculaneum's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Kingston, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Herculaneum will head out to challenge Crystal City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Black Cats are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Kingston, they will square off against Bourbon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
