Soccer Game Preview: Howard vs. Harlem

The Howard Huskies and the Harlem Bulldogs will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Howard turned things around against Cross Creek on Tuesday. They never let the Razorbacks get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Huskies needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, Harlem waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Patriots 12-2. Considering the Bulldogs have won four games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Harlem pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those three contests. As for Howard, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
