Basketball Recap: Wynona Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Wynona Yellowjackets were beaten by the Coyle Bluejackets 55-12.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coyle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Arianna Vasquez, who went 7 for 17 on her way to 19 points and six steals. Vasquez has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 27 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashlee Demoss, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Wynona's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Coyle, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.

Wynona will square off against Woodland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Coyle, they will welcome Agra at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
