Basketball Recap: Donte Ward's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Stall over Academic Magnet

Stall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Academic Magnet Raptors. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raptors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Stall's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donte Ward, who posted 17 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jeremie Jean, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 boards.

Stall's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Academic Magnet, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-5 record.

Stall has already played their next contest, a 51-44 win against Colleton County on the 10th. As for Academic Magnet, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-36 defeat against Bishop England on the 10th.
