Volleyball Recap: Crown Point Takes Down Munster in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Crown Point rose to the challenge on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Munster Mustangs. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won seven in a row.

Crown Point's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bella Del Real led the charge by getting 16 digs and seven assists. That's the most assists Del Real has posted over her last seven contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Elisabetta Bedoy, who had 19 assists and seven digs.

Crown Point's win bumped their record up to 29-3. As for Munster, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 7-25-1 record.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Crown Point and Chesterton will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Munster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
