Softball Recap: Mayfair Comes Up Short

Mayfair came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Edison Chargers, falling 14-4. On the bright side, the four- run performance marked the Monsoons' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Mayfair's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Edison, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mayfair will venture away from home to face off against Garden Grove at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Edison, they will head out to square off against Huntington Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
