Baseball Game Preview: Giles County Bobcats vs. Franklin County Rebels

For the second straight game, Giles County will face off against Franklin County. The Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Giles County fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Franklin County on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 8-7. The Bobcats have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

For Franklin County's part, Samuel Vincent was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, Vincent posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Gavin McBee was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Franklin County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Franklin County moved to 8-14 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Giles County, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 8-14.
