St. David has gone a perfect 10-0 against Valley Union recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Devils at 3:45 p.m. St. David knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Valley Union likes a good challenge.
On Tuesday, St. David got the win against Fort Thomas by a conclusive 10-3. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Apaches recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Owen Judd was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. St. David is undefeated when Judd allows one or fewer hits, but 4-6-1 otherwise. Judd was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Like St. David, Valley Union also got a great game from a two-way player: Steven Delacruz. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Delacruz has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.
Delacruz wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Mitchell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
St. David now has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for Valley Union, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Everything went St. David's way against Valley Union in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as St. David made off with a 16-3 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
