Football Recap: Green Street Academy Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Green Street Academy's offense. The game between the Chargers and the Carver Vo-Tech Bears didn't end well, with the Chargers falling 18-0. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Malachi Young threw for 54 yards on six of nine attempts. Davon Ashe was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards.

Green Street Academy's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for Carver Vo-Tech, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Green Street Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 26-0 victory against Benjamin Franklin on the 10th. As for Carver Vo-Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-14 win against Edmondson-Westside on the 9th.
